I blame @Roasted Swan and @vandermolen for this one  ;) .Not that I need any more Mahler in my collection, but the idea of having Nan Merriman singing the Fahrenden Gesellen songs was too strong to resist (and these Australian Eloquence reissues often very quickly go OOP and become difficult to find).

Ordered what was apparently the only copy on Amazon MP, a used copy from Momox whose delivery is promised for sometime in November.  Well, at least they're honest about using a clipper ship to get it across the Atlantic...

The companion CD with SQs 1 and 5 was listed on Amazon when I first looked last week but now it seems to have disappeared. Fortunately I have those quartets as recorded by the Liepzig SQ, so I don't have to sigh over it.

HAHA  ;D

Looks like a great set. I always thought highly of Van Beinum.

Apparently the first two volumes in a series of eight. Fingers crossed.

£1.99 from charity shop yesterday, looks like it spent the last 12 years in the shrink wrap :-X .

Big Orfeo sale at JPC (part 1).

I have zero need for any of these performances, but at less than 9€ for 9 discs I couldn't say no.🤪

Those Müller-Schott recordings are excellent!

Great, good to hear ! The repertoire he chooses is adventurous and challenging, reviews are very positive - what more can one ask ?

Yes, a CD I might be tempted to acquire for the sake of the performer.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

Some obscure 20th century Spanish piano trios (of the three composers listed, I am only acquainted with the music of Gerardo Gombau).

They seem to specialize in 20th century Spanish composers. The recordings I actually have from them are, however, the music of Roberto Sierra.

Adding to the raft of Raff's chamber music, from Amazon MP

After hearing Pashchenko play the WoO 80 variations on fortepiano two nights ago. :o

Debussy  Preludes Bk.2 / La Mer  Melnikov/Pashchenko

Likewise. :)

Stockhausen  Cosmic Pulses

Hoping to resolve a diary clash between Jerusalem SQ playing Shostakovich versus another concert performance of the knockout Cosmic Pulses. :-\

Mahler  Symphony No.9  Delman / Milan RAI SO

Haven't heard this one. ::)

Please report on Delman's Mahler 9. I'm a big fan of his Bruckner 9, warts and all.
