Karl Henning

Quote from: Karl Henning on October 10, 2024, 11:00:33 AMI've tried to reach out to this place by both e-mail and phone. At last they returned my call this afternoon, and I'll go in for an interview at last tomorrow.
The interview went well, some bureaucracy to burn through, but I'm hopeful.

Had a really good Henning Ensemble rehearsal today, although it was the second rehearsal we had only three of the four players available (a different member each time so we had a solid quorum of overlap.) It cost me a fair amount of energy, mental and otherwise, so I wound up napping quite a bit afterwards, and now I need something that just will not demand anything of my brain: @Cato will approve.

I'm not sure if I've seen that before or not though I've heard of it.  Did it do the the job?

The Great Mouse Detective marked the beginning of the Disney Renaissance in the late 1980's, after a string of less than successful cartoon movies in the later 1970's and into the early 1980's.

Yes, very witty and fun!  References to the Basil Rathbone-Nigel Bruce movies about Sherlock Holmes and to the original stories themselves abound.

Vincent Price as the villain Rattigan is a delight: plus, he sings some very funny songs!

We have managed to get two full rehearsals in the book this side of November: tomorrow and Saturday the 26th. Peter has a busy November schedule, so we probably need to arrange one rehearsal without him. I expect that be New Business, after we pack up the instruments on the 26th. It will be a good program.

The place where I interviewed Friday has informed me that they've selected another candidate. I should look around in case the first place I interviewed falls through, too. This morning I had my periodic review with my financial advisor. The IRA has had a good year, so no change in strategy is indicated.

Urgh. Sorry to hear this, my friend. Crossing everything crossable for the other role and for your next steps!

I've found two other part-time positions to apply to. Still hoping that interview No. 2 may come through, but feeling I cannot count on it.
