I'm getting reckless in my old age or something.  :o

The degree of usefulness to me does vary a bit (volumes 1 and 4 being the most interesting), but given that I could find all of them on eBay for fairly good prices I decided I might as well get the lot. There's one rather peculiar omission from the original albums**, but these days I can buy a couple of tracks to fix that.

I could have just bought one disc of Goyescas, but... nope. I'm doing it.

** Aha, I've just figured it out actually. Pieces that de Larrocha recorded twice in different contexts because they do double-duty in Albeniz' works.

Maybe. Although right now me being "reckless" costs A$74, it's not exactly on the level of purchasing a red sports car.

 ;D

Let me give you an example of genuine recklessness.

I have a maternal aunt (the only such surviving out of five) which is 88 and suffering from Alzheimer. She recently fell and broke her femur. Sounds terrible, right? Well, less than an hour after she was brought back in the ward after surgery, the nurses found her standing in the middle of the room (which implies she walked her way there from her bed). Upon being upbraided for her recklessness, she replied: "Why, it's the doctor who told me just last week that I must walk daily."  ;D

You can maybe start worrying about me if I go and hunt down the other 8 Double Decca albums in the Música Española series (because now I know that there are 12 in total, these are just the 4 piano ones).

At about 85 my grandmother went to get her oil changed at the car dealership, saw a pretty new luxury car, and decided to buy it. A year later she was unable to drive and three years later she was no longer alive. At least my aunt was able to inherit it...  ;D

Actually, I would start worrying if you didn't do exactly that.

Why, truly a case of dementia. In Romania changing the oil at the car dealership costs thrice the price of the same operation at any no-name car service around the corner.

No comparing of 23 different recordings, in opus order with a tracking on a spreadsheet????  :o

If YOU start going out of process, this world is doomed  :P

It's okay, I'm still planning on going through 4 sets of Schumann's complete piano music. Though maybe 1 or 2 of them will drop out before the finish line.

Well, now that you mention it, I must confess it has never crossed my mind to track my listening on a spreadsheet, let alone implement it. Imagine my surprise and confusion when I learned that there are many people here who do exactly that and can say with certainty what they listened to seven years ago this very day of this very month.
