Quote from: Spotted Horses on November 15, 2024, 08:55:18 PMYou are creating a feeling of hopeless dread.

The world is pretty much hopeless, but this by no means implies dread. On the contrary, a clear comprehension of this fact brings liberation and peace.

I did mention what is happening (which is so much worse than I can possibly describe) on another thread but I think only a few people saw it.

Things continue to worsen and the pain, which involves bones breaking frequently, is debilitating.

I'm sorry, I didn't see this thread till now, I don't look on this particular board very often and never even seen this thread before.

Very sorry to read about this, yet we will continue to pray and be optimistic that something could happen to reverse this!

We know that when such terrible things happen to others, it is imperative for us to show our Love in some way to you and your family and to others suffering such similar agonies.

Luke, just adding my sympathy. It's hard to know what to offer, other than joining in the large chorus of those thinking about you and your wife. Like others have said, I hope time here provides some kind of respite.

What dreadful news. I'm so sorry to hear this.

You and your wife are in my thoughts at this dark and testing time for you both and all those closest to you.

Thanks to all of you. As I said elsewhere, GMG means a huge amount to me even if I can't take the time to throw myself into it as I once did. It's a refuge at those times that I can grab it, one that takes me out of the grim reality for a brief time. Your support means a great deal.

Just found this, and am horrified by what I've read. I'm so sorry to hear what a dreadful time you're having, Luke. I just wanted to add my name to all these other good folks in this thread.

I can't imagine what you and your wife are going through.  Although we have never met outside of this forum, a certain intimacy evolves through discussing a shared passion for music.  In some ways I end up feeling closer to some I've met here than those I see in my local surroundings.

I can only offer you and your wife my prayers and hope you find solace and support among friends and family through this most difficult time.

Just seen this post. Very sad to read this.

And, this Christmas Eve, permit me to express gratitude for all the friends I've made here over the years. And thanks especially to @Dungeon Master for hosting and maintaining the virtual venue!

Wholehearted agreement, and I realise this with so much extra force this year. Knowing you all, however virtual the knowing, is precious. Merry Christmas to all.
