Karl Henning

I just called to follow up on an application. Phone screening went well. Perhaps I'll hear from them tomorrow to schedule an in-person interview.

Persistence is probably the best/only option in such a period. I applaud yours. Good luck with it all.  : )

Well, I haven't heard, and since I'm out of town next week, it doesn't make much sense for me to press the matter this week. An old friend of mine and his missus spend most of every November in Hilton Head, So. Carolina. They've invited me down for a week. First time I'll be out of town since my mother's passing.

Not yet packed for travel, but will be in time. In a moderately peculiar place, entertainment-wise: a movie I'd naïvely hoped might be on Tubi, isn't, so I've backed into revisiting the interviews of Genesis which are extras on their reissued catalogue. Not a bad way to relax, though.

Lucky thing I'm as Zen as I'm is, given the rescheduling jiggery-pokery of today's air itinerary. Just now in Newark (three hours behind schedule.)

Did they give a reason as to why?

Air traffic control, with the undercurrent suggestion that finding a solution was tantamount to the roomful of monkeys at last eking out King Lear.

I just heard an announcement boarding a flight for Milan. And I'm thinking, "don't tempt me!"

Milano!  I'd love to go there!  Well, and I realize it's too late, that if you could have found some transportation to Turino from there, the you might have been able to have watched the men's ATP tennis finals (tomorrow) between a HUGE fan favorite there (the Italian tennis star Jannick Sinner) vs. the American tennis player Taylor Fritz (first time in 18 years that an American has played in this end-of-year finals--since James Blake).  It's a round robin style of the top men's tennis players.

And hey in Buffalo, you might have been able to see the Buffalo Phil Orch and JoAnn Falletta perform?  So don't knock it!  8)

Hope that you're back on your way (or have already arrived).

In 1900, Buffalo was the 8th largest city in America.

While in Buffalo, I did hear the Buffalo Phil play the Lutosławski Concerto for Orchestra. Also, the Rochester Phil play the première of Takemitsu's From Me Flows What You Call Time. So, as sketchy as my Buffalo experience was, there were highlights.
