There's a lot of respiratory illness here at present; I had an annoying tickly throat type of cold for weeks myself .

Gosh, I thought I'd replied. Still feeling pretty rough (and I've no voice) so we've decided that the band will do tomorrow's program without me conducting. I'll watch online.

The band have arrived at King's Chapel by now. The stream has not yet been started, of course. Concert begins at 12:15

I've listened to the program twice today. I am so proud of and grateful to these colleagues for doing such a great job. And conductor-less, too!

So pleased with yesterday's performance, I'm starting to think about a new piece for the spring.
I'm quite chuffed to find that motivation. First, to write another one-minute organ piece for a friend's call. Chances are I'll "cheat" afterwards and incorporate it in the new Henning Ensemble piece.

The results have come in for the Brockton Symphony call. Against the disappointment of my piece not having been chosen is the pleasure of seeing that a friend's piece has!

Very interestingly, word comes in of a Music Director position. I've submitted my CV. We shall see.
