Hello, though I have registered I did not introduce me proper to this day.

Sorry for that.

My name is Michael, I am 49 years old and from Germany. Been into classical music since my teenager years.
My avatar shows the concert hall from the "Konzerthaus Dortmund", there I have a subscription besides the concerts I am watching in other towns.

Next concert in Dortmund will be Sol Gabetta with Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse and
Tarmo Peltokoski.

I am also a member on stevehoffman-forum.

kind regards Michael

Greetings, Michael, and welcome to GMG. The concert you mention sounds wonderful — Debussy, Bloch, and Mahler — and with great musicians. I heard Sol Gabetta a few years ago, and she's marvelous. And though Peltokoski hasn't appeared much in the United States, I've seen some of his work on YouTube, and he's quite good, especially for someone so young.

Anyway, welcome again, and have fun here.

Greetings Michael!
I really like my Magnard recordings from Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse.
PS does your user name come from the 'Lord of the Waste-Land' in the film Mad Max 2?

It was a great low-budget film (better than the first film I think) with a fine, manic Soundtrack by the Australian film composer Brian May (not the rock star). Coincidentally I watched the film the other day.

Ha! That came to mind but I didn't make the joke because I didn't think you would get it.
