As noted earlier, I really wasn't planning on today being a walking day, but I got home from PT, had a bite of lunch, lay down for a nap. I awoke refreshed and felt like returning a DVD, so unto the Library I did hie me, and I logged 6167 steps. I'm certainly in for the night now, of course.

And I admire your stick-to-it-tiveness!  You go Karl!

There's not much room in the apartment, I doubt we could accommodate such a machine. And really, I live in a very walkable neighborhood, so as long as the weather is reasonably clement ....

Yes, well if the weather is lousy...maybe a stationary bicycle might be a good option (between rain and snow, etc.)?  Just a thought.

You will eventually discover why I find the use of "clement" today sooo very interesting!   ???    ;)

Well, if the weather is crappy and you don't want to go out....it's important that you get the exercise.  You can always get rid of it/sell it/donate it.  Maybe you could rent something?  Or there might also be sources that could lend you and/or give you equipment for a while.  I encourage you to ask around.

So, as I may have mentioned, Woburn's Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and First Lutheran Church in Malden are embarked on the fascinating journey of becoming one unified congregation. There are obviously many a question to answer, many a concern to address, and I have been impressed by the sensitivity and charity with which everyone engages with, and indeed embraces the process. I have made friends with both of the Music Directors, Paul Carlson in Woburn and Yun Lee in Malden. The future is still to be codified, but my impression is that there may be room for both. At present (and pretty much for as long as I've been a member) services alternate between the two edifices Sunday to Sunday. When the service is in Malden (as tomorrow, e.g.) there is a choir (which appears to be growing, even apart from my participation) led by Yun. There is no knowing when the piece may make its Lutheran service debut, but I have interested Yun in the Alleluia in D.
