this is among the most charming of the salon style piano works I've heard from you. Still, I have to say it would be interesting to hear you branching out to try and write something a bit more adventurous-- if you want of course -- I mean if you're happy just writing this sort of piano music then it's entirely up to you.

Thanks Lunar, glad you found it had some charm. :)

Adventurous is an interesting word. It could mean just about anything in terms of music really, couldn't it?  If Arvo Part goes complex, that's adventurous. I am just about to post a very pentatonic piece.  Well it's not diatonic so you could say that was adventurous of me lol.  I do write pieces with discordant elements but they are more difficult to reproduce satisfactorily I find.

Yes of course everything's relative. Most of what Arvo Pärt wrote since the 1970's (his early work is another matter) bores me to tears but naturally many of the most successful composers of our day write in a somewhat minimalistic style and you should do what makes you comfortable.
