Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Quote from: AnotherSpin on September 23, 2025, 05:12:52 AMSoon after I joined the forum, I put a few people on the ignore list. Todd wasn't one of them, just to be clear. The trouble was that whenever they posted, I kept seeing that they had written something, only I couldn't read it because I had chosen to ignore them. To make it worse, the notice appeared in a different colour. So I ended up paying more attention than I wanted, when all I really wanted was not to see them at all. In the end I cleared the ignore list. Now I see their posts, but I don't read them, since I have no interest in what's going on in their heads. It is actually easier to ignore people without the list than with it.

Yes, the way ignore lists are implemented isn't that smart. All they do is make you even more curious as to what the person ignored posted and why is someone replaying to his/her post.  ???

The correct way to ignore is to close the forum and go out in the nature for a walk.

And there I am, walking, thinking: what are they writing over there while I'm out for a stroll? :o

Honestly, ignoring something only makes it more tempting. There are much easier ways.

The trick is to turn forced ignorance into natural indifference.

One can put it this way: nothing that's being said here, or indeed on any other internet board, has the slightest effect and influence on the real world and if you feel insulted by what someone said, consider that said someone is as ignorant about your real self and life as you are about theirs. An anonymous poster insulting another anonymous poster: is there in the real world any incident more ridiculously insignificant?

Had to find the perfect picture to sum up this thread:

Quote from: Brian on September 23, 2025, 04:22:20 AMI just looked and it is not mentioned specifically. Some people might see it as impolite but I don't think Todd is usually concerned about levels of politeness.  :D

Gotta feel sorry for anyone who participates in this thread with no better aim than to demonstrate how casually easy it is to be a jerk.

That is all true. Still, it's worth pointing out there are few things in Life lower than making sport of someone who has frankly confessed that there are challenges he faces.

Indeed, this is as vile as it gets.
