In September, two of my pieces for wind band have been premiered. While the Sinfonietta has been recorded and mixed so poorly that at the moment I don't want to share the recording in public (– I'm willing to share it privately on request), I've decided to put the 3rd movement of my piano concerto on YouTube, although the recording isn't flawless either (balance & acoustic problems, Barisax missing, very, few rehearsals, recorded unprofessionally).

The pianist is a piano professor in Trossingen, Germany. Next year we plan to premiere the whole concert with a young, emerging pianist. All the movements are quite difficult, the first being more weighty and quite long (about 15 minutes), the second a slow middle movement. The linked third movement starts with a quote from the first movement like a wake-up call and has a clear finale character (rondo-like), therefore isolated it might sound a bit light.

Hope you enjoy.

Nice job and congratulations on such a fine performance!  Some of it reminds me of Gershwin.

Dude, this is tight.

Composers amaze me, especially when it comes to larger forms, as my mind, currently, doesn't think that way.

And I agree, with @relm1

It is very jazzy, I also feel some Rach in those cadenzas.

I'm with that crowd as well.

#whoop :o

Yep, I had exactly the same thought as @relm1! Gershwinesque, especially the opening pages! Congratulations on the performance!

Thank you for your very positive feedback!

I do understand that one thinks of Gershwin, although I must say that I'm not into Gershwin that much and didn't think of him at all at work. But I guess any jazzy piano concerto would remind of Gershwin. Not that this is a bad thing. :D

Uhor

I imagine Mozart meeting with Ravel in heaven with Ravel introducing jazz to Mozart.

The complete concerto was now performed four times in Switzerland and Germany and there will be a fifth performance soon.
Two concerts have been recorded professionally (video+audio), but I don't have it yet. Here's a little Instagram-Reel which the pianist has published:

Thank you!

By the way, I've updated my website (in German), here you can also find excerpts (and scores) of the other pieces that were performed/premiered in the last concert:

There's also an excerpt of the premiere of my saxophone concerto.
