Good decision on Obama's part.  He stuck by that Trinity Church as long as he reasonably could.

CNN claims he "resigned" from the Church. Wording error, or did he have a position there to resign from? I think the CNN editors have been smoking something funny...  ::)

He was just a member of the flock; now he isn't.  Hopefully, he'll now pick a boring church.

You can't expect journalists to be good with words and terms, you know...

Yep, Harvey Korman, who passed away just a few days ago at the age of 81. The pic is from "Blazing Saddles".

You mean until the world got to see what went on in there.

Agree!  The world has just discovered something that has been happening for the past 22 years.  If Obama really found all of that rhetoric so offensive, he would have found it offensive 22 years ago.  Rev. Wright was apparently telling the truth when he said that Obama was only doing what was politically expedient.

Just a case of the same old politics with a new face.

You folks are being very hard on poor Obama.  I have belonged to temple memberships all my life and could care less what the religious leaders think; hell, I don't even know what they think.  I just show up and try to get into an insular trance (like when I have a root canal procedure).

To me, religious views and practices are very private.  So as far as I'm concerned, Obama can go, stay or whatever.  I'm still voting for him.

Hussein Obama.

I'd rather vote for a republican than see this retard in the office.

1) he uses his skin color to get through to people.  He never suffered from his skin color, only benefited--for example thanks to affirmative action he went to Harvard.  He's a white person as far as I'm concerned, who tries to look/act/speak black.
2) he is a chameleon--quickly changes sides to "please" the people.  He was a member of the trinity church, and then he just "resigned" from it.  that's just a freaking kindergarten.
3) ah whatever.  you want a disaster of a president, you'll get it.  I won't be at all surprised if it turns out he supported and funded extremist organizations involved in 9/11.

Funny you would say the above, because Obama's got a lot more on the ball than you do.  And, he's much more mature.

Simple answer - WIFE.

Gotcha. So you sit there with your iPod on, listening to Bach, while she does her thing. I get it.

Don't need the iPod; Bach's always in my head. 8)
