What happened to uffeviking? Does anyone know how to contact her? I recently got a Thielemann video and I thought she may enjoy it, but I know see she is no longer an active user of the forum.

Still here, Manuel, but with a different on-line name! I saw no reason to continue volunteering receiving insults as modertor; life is so much easier now!

Manuel, tell me about your Thielemann, please. I think I have all of his DVDs available, always happy to hear about a new one.  :)

Nevermind the e-mail then. (... and I always imagined you as Brunnhilde...)

Thi week, Otterhouse's web site offers a fine tribute to conductor Jean Fournet who passed away recently (aged 95).

This 1954 Lamoureux Orchestra collection of items features french ballet music (Sylvia, Coppélia, Faust). It has the added interest of preserving the orchestral style in the kind of repertoire nobody else could duplicate - let alone better. HIP ballet music, in a sense !Compare that to the familiar mid-sixties Karajan BPO recording. Ear opening.

And, Manuel, have you considered uploading files to MediaFire? It seems to be a hassle-free place compared to RapidShare. :)
