Dvorak Cello Concerto - Christina Walevska/Alexander Gibson/LPO on Lp.  Lovely, unaffected performance.  Walevska seems to be forgotten, though Philips did release this and several other CDs of cello concertos, all excellent.  She recorded the original version of the Prokofiev Cello Concerto, worth seeking out.

I'm quite impressed by Endellion.
I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

Mm, mm, good!

"Four legs good, Two legs bad!!" (Or, the put it otherwise: Vaughan Williams good, Haitink bad).  8)
... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948

I have Haitink doing the Sea Symphony and the Sinfonia Antartica. I think that his interpretation of the Antartica is superb :)

I am terribly sorry about this, but I strongly disagree with you and side with Christo in this.
Haitink is horrible depicting VW.
I gave the set to Karl, and he seems to be very happy with it, but it defeats my understanding why! ;D
