Problems with buying used Opera Cds

One man's idea of 'as new' compared to another man's can be as different as night and day.

I've been caught with this several times in the past and as a consequence I avoid buying anything 'used'.

Having said that, even 'new and sealed' disc's arrive with a cracked jewelcase, thus I keep a supply of new replacements on hand.

But I do sympathize with you regarding the opera sets 'cause they're expensive and it's frustrating if the libretto is missing.

To add to my list of "problems" buying opera media used...........

Today I received a "like new" used opera DVD from Amazon seller with no booklet   >:(
There really is no excuse of ignorance for this since everyone knows there is a booklet with every DVD of movie/TV/music you buy

This amazon seller was rated 97................always use sellers rated 95+

To ship a DVD rated "like new" with no booklet (especially an opera DVD) and make no mention in your add makes me mad  >:(

If they would use those labels that are easy to remove and don't leave adhesive on jewel case that would be
OK, but that would be too easy wouldn't it.........also over long period of time some adhesives can discolor the jewel case plastic underneath it


The adhesive from stickers that are left on jewel cases can easily be removed by Crisco shortening or even peanut butter.
