Renaissance (duh), Baroque (mainly for Bach) and modern. Couldn't really chose classical or romantic as i really like only an handful of composers from those eras, albeit some of them are among my very favorites...

When all is said and done, I'm one Romantic mammajamma.

I am a cross-boundary kinda guy, and a leading opponent of the theory that the Classical Era ends at 1800... so, I will choose 'None of the Above' and add in my favorite period:

1770-1830. Easily 80% of my favorite music dates from this period, which I call the Gurnian Era. ;)

I almost asked you what that meant; then realised and was glad I had not. Go wash your mouth out with soap.  $:)

DavidW: Yeah Mike doesn't get angry, he gets even.
I wasted time: and time wasted me.

Currently, the music from the period spanning Bach through Verdi is my favorite.

This might last for a while.

Merely a coincidence, young Dave.

It is also the entire creative span of Mozart, Schubert, most of Haydn, Hummel, Weber etc. etc. etc. Beethoven is merely the icing on the cake. :)

I'm waiting for someone to say, "I like 1863."

1803-1814 Beethoven's middle period. ;)

Nah really I just finished sorting my cds and I can tell you that 60% of my collection are from the classical and romantic eras, so classical and romantic it is! :)  And the majority of my baroque era is Bach.  At least my modern era and romantic era cds are diverse, and the classical era is split evenly between Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.  But I really need diversity in the baroque era!!!
