Most of you guys are picking other guys.  What's up?

I think a perfectly heterosexual male can say that another man is objectively hot. Personally, I am not a perfectly heterosexual male, but I think Massenet was objectively attractive as a young man.

Peter Warlock also had a very striking look (it's the eyes).

Young Janacek and Young Brahms were good looking fellows.

But Clara Schumann takes the prize!  What a Fanny on that one!  ;D

I don't think it's safe to assume that everyone in the classical music forum is a heterosexual male...

After all, this isn't the American Football Forum or the Garage Tools forum...though I'm sure they have a few gay people, too!

I DEFINITELY agree on young Brahms. He really let himself go though, didn't he?

Why not?  There aren't any homosexuals in Iran, and that's a much larger population. 8)

I'm sure there are some.  Just in the closet.

I think all the homosexuals in Iran end up here...that's why they are not in Iran.

That was the joke. :D Ahmadinejad famously said that there are no homosexuals in Iran, and that it's a Western phenomenon.  ::)

Oh, oops. Obviously I missed the joke.  I hadn't heard that said.

And if he were a composer, Ahmadinejad won't most definitely NOT be hot. He has nothing on the young Brahms.

Wagner.  It's pretty hot down there.  ;D
The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

-- William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

In terms of the swooning, sighing and crying of the female sex, veritable 19th century analogues of the Sinatra and Beatles phenomena, it's got to be Liszt and Paganini.

Regarding the enthusiasm you show by posting the names of some composers, I assume you're gay or bisexual (regarding the enthusiasm you show by posting the name of some females also). I don't need to know, but wonder why you don't clarify spontaneously.

He can say it, but he can't feel it.   :D

And so he has no personal taste for it.

Who cares?
