The hottest composer around today is Augusta Reed Thomas, b. 1964. Sigh. I found out recently that she's married to Bernard Rands, who is like thirty years older than she is. It gives the rest of us middle aged hacks a little hope.

I'm surprised no one seems to have mentioned Ned Rorem.  Ok, I think he's hot, but yes, I know he's gay so I'll have to content myself with enjoying him musically--plenty to enjoy there, too.  And he writes well, so I'm planning on enjoying his memoir, Knowing When to Stop.These pictures, one from the 50s and one from some time this millennium, demonstrate that he is aging well, imho.  And I prefer mature men--kids are boring.

I have little experience with pederasty but honestly think it should be more embedded in our culture. Our culture would be more virile. Men would be more masculine and learn more from other men (the young from older ones).

If you see how badly developed some men are, how false masculine they are, it seems even that all men in our culture are not men enough for pederasty.

Are you a member of The Netherlands Party for Neighbourly Love, Freedom, and Diversity, which seeks to have the legal age-of-consent lowered to 12, and, in the long run, completely eliminated? I sincerely hope it will never happen -- and men in our culture can grow masculine even without having a father. Maybe there, where you live, men are really badly developed and are not men enough for pederasty , but I think it's a hasty generalization with no substance behind it.
