I suppose that is a different one. Mine was recorded with the London Philharmonic (The LSO plays the Testament cd), and the recording date is 06/03/1953.

Well, the Testament recording is just fabulous (even more so the appended Tchaikovsky concerto). So I suppose this is really worth the duplication. How is the sound on that?

It's quite standard for a 1953 recording.

I have acquired a live radio recording of IDA
HAENDEL from 1953 playing under Sergiu Celibidache
and the London Philharmonic. The power, technique, energy and rhythm of Haendel in this recording are absolutely phenomenal. This performance has moved into my all time top ten of all violin recordings.
She blew my socks off and spun my wig. WOW !!!.

The sonata is a shocking live recording; a very personal view with all type of pianistic excesses I enjoy, alla antiqua.
