Actually I grabbed that photo off the internet.  I have the pre-amp and power amp pictured, but a different NAD CD player and no tuner.  The amps date from the late 1980's.  Still sound great, although the switches are starting to go.   :(

I've always had a problem with the switches on NADs. I've taken them in for repairs a couple of times. At first I thought "Oh, this is just cheap stuff, what do you expect?" and then I thought "NADs don't get junked ever, so it's worthwhile to fix them". So I'm happy, which is almost "I'm so happy".

I only started to have trouble after they were in storage for a while and then used again.  I found a good contact cleaner that helped a lot.  My biggest problem now are the relays in the power amp.  When you turn it on there is a "click" when the output relays engage, and sometimes one of them sticks.   I'm thinking of sending it in for service, but now I make do by cycling the power, which does the trick normally.
