Stockhausen's LICHT (LIGHT) Cycle of 7 Operas, one for each day of the week - has really turned me around to his music in a bigger way than before. I never would have thought that since his death I'd still be listening & exploring quite obsessively. I've listed the Operas in this poll in the order that they were composed.

Happy Voting.

In all seriousness: Do you think anybody on this forum except you have heard them all?

I've got Friday on my mind but am unable to help you here!

Well, I've only heard Donnerstag, so it was easy to choose.

I have a few discs with music from LICHT, but I have no idea which day they are from. I think I have more Wednesday than any other...

James, I'm jealous that you've managed to hear them all. I've only heard Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and of those, Thursday is by far my favourite.

I'd hardly think there are more than three who might even have an interest in hearing the lot.  But they're a diverse club of three.

Then there is me, interested but can't afford the lot. I will have to settle for 1430 to 1815, Wednesday and 0800 to 0945, Thursday.

I'm in a similar state, Paul.  I have a dispassionate curiosity to hear practically any Stockhausen, once.

But that curiosity cannot drive the expense of the Verlag
; )

So I consider myself nae interested.

I think the only one I have complete is Samstag. Things were much cheaper when Vivaldi and Haydn did the Seasons and Tchaikovsky the Months.

Slighting Glazunov?

Our Music department has a pretty good range of the Verlag releases but only Samstag and Montag from the Licht cycle. Samstag was really exciting to listen to. It didn't affect me in the same way as Kontacte or Gesang did on first listening but it certainly was a rich musical experience so I'd go for that on my limited traversal of the cycle.

Not intentionally, but now that you mention it, why not.
