Thanks, I guess, for the links to jpc.  On a whim I clicked and bought 5 cpo discs.  I thought I might bê spared, but clicked on the English button and had unfortunately no problem registering or placing the order.  The 2.99 euros  come in at 2.51 exported.

For those who were looking for the Brahms Lieder set on Brilliant with DFD and co, but didn't want to pay the price for the EMI version, it is now at Berkshire for $24. I think they are the same anyway - here is what they look like:

Barnes and Noble are having a sale on Naxos. Discs are $5.99 each (though it looks like most (perhaps all) multiple disc sets are not on sale. Still, if you are in the US with no shipping, this could be a good deal (though you may have tax).

EDIT: Some are even 5.49.

There are at this moment 14 sets of the HAYDN edition on Brilliant - 150 discs, at amazon.de for EURO. 64.97,
there's a second listing for the same at EUR 194,99
The bargain price knocks off about EUR 20 for export out of the ECU, I think shipping was EUR 16 or thereabouts to Canada
MP sellers have it for  EUR 51,98, but I don't get the tax deduction from them.
ps. I just ordered it and got it confirmed at the low price.

It includes all the symphonies, string quartets, lost count --- 22 discs of songs and folksonge, 19 of baryton trios and octets, but no wind divertimenti or cantatas, several opera are missing so it is not a "complete" edition, but it'a a big one, suitable for a younger person with a lifetime able to accommodate it.

Most of it, I have already, but apart from that, this is a marvelous bargain.

Barnes and Noble have a sale on all sorts of stuff at 40% off. Of course, some of their prices are too high to start with, but if you are searching for something, perhaps worth a look.

You have got to be kidding me? I felt surely they cannot be the same DVDs DG has released over the past few years - perhaps some cheap audio-track versions.

But no, apparently they are the full DVDs at an astonishing price? Looks like it's time for me to get my bank card out...

Ha ha! What happened to feeding the beast? :D Do you also want me to point out that the Frescobaldi box is around $40 and the Angela Hewitt Bach edition has a 50% discount on it?

I have that set, Nav.  Absolutely one of my favorite 'box sets'.  At a 50% discount, do not hesitate!  Unless of course you don't believe in Bach being played on a piano.  ;D

My beast is well fed, thank you. I have the Tactus Frescobaldi edition as well as a couple of the Brilliant doubles, as well as about a third of Hewitt's Bach as single discs - more or less what I want. And 32 unplayed discs in DGs Liszt Edition.  ;D.
