Gustav Leonhardt R.I.P.

A bit sad that Leonhardt passed away. I attended several of his concerts, the last one of him directing Bach cantatas in the Nether lands. His last concert was last month in Paris. On youtube you can find bootleg recordings of that concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUy0VJfD_o8

You can cherish those memories of your being there.

Until today I didn't know that the oboist Bruce Haynes (author of the book The End of Early Music) died several months ago, in May, 2011. Actually this Monday was celebrated in The Hague a homage to his memory, where Mr. Leonhardt had committed to participate. Another sad news this day.
