No, it isn't garbage, you've got that all wrong MM. For this one you need to exercise your brain! ;D ;D
I am just in the process of collecting a huge amount of DVD's, before they go OOP, so I am compiling a few lists, that's all.

Well if you like pseudoscience then I guess its an interesting film. I think Phrenology is a cool concept   ;D Id like someone to study the bumps on my head.

Why DVDs? If I had your financial situation I'd collect HD-DVDs and Blu-Rays. DVDs start to be technically outdated but I have to wait years for the HD-stuff to get cheaper...  :-\
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

It is not wise to buy either Blue Ray or HD, the struggle is not over yet...........

True, I won't show any interest before the format war is over.

It's Blu-ray, not Blue ray.  ;)

BTW, DVDs do not get OOP like CDs do. It's amazing. In fact the longer you wait the cheaper and better (transfer quality, extra material,...) product you get!

But nevertheless some films will go OOP. And most of them will not go into the HD, or Blueish Ray mode, that means you will be stuck with the inferior material. but that was to be expected. Series will suffer. I see that on my new Plasma Screen, new films look amazing, old ones are bad to very bad, and most of the series like X files for example are not so good on a 102 cm screen,

That's not true. I've seen a lot of out of print Criterion titles go for a whole lot of money on eBay.

Well, Criterion is an exception...  :P

"Wild Strawberries" Ingmar Bergman+I rented"Pierrepoint" an excellent, oddly moving, movie on a grisly subject.
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).
