I've received two emails from JPC--one was for my birthday, and the other was "haven't ordered from us in a while, so here's a coupon to use".  As of tonight, I haven't gotten anything from JPC, perhaps because I have ordered in the last few months from them.

IIRC, the coupon codes were user specific, but unlike this one didn't expire for several months after the date of the email.

I did get a 30 percent off coupon from Barnes and Noble to use instore this weekend (not online) so tomorrow I expect to go do some damage there.

I would've liked a discount code for my recent order, but truth be told it was still a fine price for what I got. Only issue I have with jpc is the shipping which gives incentive for big orders. lol

Thanks for this.  One of the M C Alain complete Bach sets is available from the same source for about the same price.
Phil.

PS I think the jpc voucher was probably customer specific and one time use

I also received a 20% discount coupon from jpc.  But I already have 2 orders from MDT and Presto Classical on their way ...

That is a fine deal, and I am still enjoying big chunks of that Brilliant Bach box very, very much; but for those in N. America, it might possibly pay to wait until DeepDiscount's next big bi-annual (?) sale, which if it's like it was last year (~May-June)---featuring large discounts on Naxos, Brilliant, Naive, CPO labels---might yield an ~US$85 price for the Bach complete box; same for the Haydn megabox, fwiw.  Of course, such a sale might not happen, or include those labels, or the editions might vanish....alas
I'm hoping I get another shot at those labels next spring....

Good point. For me, if the Brilliant boxes are near or under $1 per disc that's a really good deal.

Nav, once I again thank you even if my checkbook does not.
Ordered the Karajan Ring (I am one of those people with the Italian liner notes).  Sans VAT, avec livraison transatlantique: USD $69.21, about 30 percent below its current listing on Amazon US.

Please convey to your chequebook, on my behalf, my apology. :(

I have both sets and paid a much better price for the Hogwood's Mozart set but paid a bit more for the Karajan's Wagner Ring, around $95 IIRC ...

Yep, been out a while that one, but that looks like a re-release next May at a cheaper price, so one to watch out for...  For the current pressing Amazon.fr are charging the not inconsiderable sum of over 380 euro!!  :o

Spotted this on a blog today, a cheap pre-order:

http://www.amazon.es/Van-Cliburn-Complete-Album-Collection/dp/B009EJSUBY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356191132&sr=8-1

The Van Cliburn box set out in January <30 euro plus shipping.

Just take a look at this. First they let you buy all the different sets and then this!

Brilliant follows the same game plan I think.

Actually, first they gave us a false lead (this box was listed in 2011 for a short while). Then they brought out all the smaller boxes, and now back to this.

That's what happened (I originally put in an order for it, and when I understood it would only be released later, I cancelled and decided to go for the smaller boxes - which are anyway much more comprehensive - instead). I've succeeded in getting much of what I want in the smaller boxes (and there's probably more of those to come). As a game plan it's not particularly brilliant, and the big box will probably appeal more to the occasional buyer than to the seriously obsessed.

And of course I ordered the van Cliburn box, does anybody know what's actually on it (except for the magical complete word)?  :D

BTW, many DHM single and double discs going for 2, 3 and 4 Euros at Amazon Spain, just in case you want to 'spread the charge'.

For instance, this for 2.20:
