My wife and I are taking our 3 year old next week to Vegas. Any particular places you guys recommend as far as tourism is concerned?

Thanks,

With the wife and kid? I guess this rules out the Mustang Ranch!

After the casinos and a show, I'd drive to the Grand Canyon!

You can head out to Lake Mead and visit the Hoover Dam... Las Vegas Zoo... the way hotels come and go there, you never know what is still standing, but Excalibur was pretty neat as was Caesar's Palace--New York, New York was only just being built the last time I was there... and the show on the boat at Treasure Island was fun and kid friendly and there's a water park at Mandalay Hotel.

You may want to visit a local library or book store and examine a current tour book to see what other kid friendly activities are available.

LV has become a family oriented city.
Every major hotel has a Youth Hostel, where kids can be stashed.
Practically every major hotel has a multiplex cinema installation to entertain the kiddies while Ma and Pa are at the tables or machines.
Treasure Island and Excalibur have shows designed specifically to entertain children, and they are all outdoors and free.
But LV is where it is for a reason. It's in the center of 350 miles of desert. You can't go on a "tour" unless you leave for the entire day, (and possibly more). The casinos want to keep you in the city, gambling, going to shows, and eating in fine restaurants.  If that's not what you want to do.... STAY HOME.
