If you'd asked me this question 40 years ago, it would have been No.1. But I'm old and mellow now (with delicate ears  ;D ) so it's the Third for me.

If you'd asked me this question 40 years ago, I'd have said "What's a bartok?"

I slightly prefer No.2 to No.1, but what a magnificent set of works it is, all-around.

Talking of other 20th century piano concerti, Radulescu's has some Bartok in it, too: it uses Romanian Christmas carols Bartok collected as thematic material.

I guess my list would be:
Bartok 1, Bartok 2, Bartok 3, Bartok double, Ligeti, Ravel left-hand, Ravel two-hands, Gershwin PC, Messiaen's "Oiseaux Exotiques" (I'm counting this), and perhaps Rach 3 (but I haven't heard it in a while). I need to hear the Shosti PCs.

I'm surprised that Bartok 1 is tied with Bartok 3! I thought that Bartok 1 wouldn't have a chance. So far, the whole poll seems pretty well-distributed, though.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Oh, they're not in any order.

Overrated imo. Anything by Stravinsky is better.
