That's not a problem. If I knew any girls worth having a crush on, then I could develop a crush on them. Since I don't know any, then it really doesn't matter.

The more time you spend on anime girls, the less chance you meet a dreamgirl.

But Greg, admit. Falling in love with anime girls is pure misery. Do you have friends who like anime girls like you? Then it's misery together, even worse. And since there are more like you, this is the case.
Yeah, I have one friend that's like that lol.
This girl is his favorite:

I get the appeal- she's a great character. And he also really likes the ones from the same show with my favorite girls.

I don't know him extremely well, but he's always been a really interesting person to me. I think this guy would have more success if he a) didn't live in the same area I do; b) weren't so introverted; c) were into something like working out rather than anime. He's a very good looking and very fun to be around sort of guy, but is always complaining about not having a cute girl to watch anime with lol.

There's no "time" that I spend on anime girls. I spend almost all of my time either doing homework or working, so not much of a chance to meet someone. (I'm actually supposed to be doing homework right now, but posting on here instead).  :P

The last time I had a crush on a girl was like 5 years ago, and she's married with kids now. So kinda pointless to think about her. I like thinking about girls, so who else is there to even think about? I guess if I were a movie watcher, I'd be thinking about actresses. But I like anime a lot more, so there ya go.

Relative to this thread, possibly. This is exactly what I hate about the new politically correct movement.

"Not being attracted to certain races makes you racist."

So what's next? Not being attracted to the same gender makes you homophobic? Not being attracted to fat or skinny people makes you hate them? Notice the whole site is without any comments section, so they can maintain their own safe space, free of any criticism while they go on their little witch hunt. Reminds me of Soviet communism.

But why wouldn't you/anyone/someone be attracted to someone else of a different race/ethnic group? I ask this not having read most of the article, which I stopped reading after a paragraph or so.

All that _thinking_ about girls.

You know I like certain images as well. And I have time so I collect them. http://yuitr.deviantart.com/favourites/53661611/Featured Also on Pinterest.

But I'm not so stupid to fall in love with them. Just building fantasies and masturbate to enjoy and process all that stuff!

She (Katya) tweeted this:

"Think about me like I know you will 😌"

Of course I think about her, but more to process things, that's thrilling (the thrill being the meaning of the interaction, with all emotions involved) and interesting, not to stick to it.

Physical characteristics, maybe? Accent/language? etc.

My friend, for example, was accused of being racist for not liking black guys, and I've never heard anything remotely racist sounding coming from her. I know a white guy who only likes Hispanic women (he's married to one) and doesn't like white girls, yet I've never heard him say anything bad about his own race. One of my best friends never seemed interested in white girls when we were growing up (he's black and seemed to only be interested in black girls). And a guy I work with is black/Hispanic and only likes white girls, yet implying that he's racist against black people would be the joke of the century.

Just a few examples I can think of at the moment...

I don't want to use your friends as examples, because the purpose is not to comment on them (and I don;t want to appear to be attacking them or anything - I don't know them).

In the end, it really depends what is meant. If someone says they prefer blue eyes, and they accept any race/ethnic group with that characteristic (or at least would consider it), then there doesn't seem to be a problem. But if someone says blue eyes and white skin only, I would probably think that person biased, perhaps worse. It is one thing to have a preference and another thing entirely to exclude a group. I don't doubt that a matchmaker would meet both, but figuring out who is who may be more complicated. There are also socio-economic factors at play, especially when we expand the pool. What I mean here is some may cite certain factors because they are interested in a wealthier partner who can provide for them (not necessarily love).

That's basically the same thing, though. For example, I don't think a site like blackpeoplemeet, which is dating for black people trying to find other black people, is racist. People can't help their sexual preferences and will seek those out, which may involve excluding other races (that site, for example, is defined by excluding non-black people). Nothing wrong with that.

That article that I linked to related this to employers and employees, which is terrible. Two totally different things.

I think he meant providing them with classical music.

Greg, there is no substitute for a girlfriend. Your "better than nothing" plan doesn't work. May I therefor suggest you to reinterpretate the title of Meshuggah's album "Nothing"?

So, Q, how do you feel about the inability of Parisians to defend themselves? Isn't that what you want, all citizens disarmed and easy prey? Why don't we just bring up that 'Another Gun Shooting in America' Thread of yours and lets have this one out right now, eh?

I mean, if it really happened, and all... shrug...

I don't presume classical music fans to have no other needs, but there are other places on the internet for those other needs....aren't there?  8)

You're barking up the wrong tree, because I am not the one who starts those threads - I don't  like wasting my breath... ::)
You buy all the guns you want for all I care, and start shooting! :D

But if widespread gunownership prevents terrorist attacks, that is definitely news to me... ???
