"J'ai craqué !".  There are other boxsets, including a 50 CD one.  This one has exactly the repertoire I am looking for

Finally jpc gave me a coupon for a 20% discount, after many years of being a loyal customer... ::)
The trick seems to be to wait over 2 months for the next order....should play that game more often... 8)
And the beauty is that the discount also applies to any special offers.

The Johann Gottfried Walther organ set was a recommendation by Harry! :) (And a steal at €20 - 20% = €16)

They haven't sent me a coupon! And my last order was in October, when I got the SEON box....

Mmmmhh..... perhaps others can help to figure out their coupon system? :)
Because after my first coupon ever in I-don't-even-know-how-many years, it definitely seems a waste of money to miss out.... 0:)

I never ever, as long as I did and do business with JPC got a coupon . So they have a funny system of giving them out.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

I have a hunch: frequent customer = NO coupon..... ::)

Or perhaps they have a lottery system?  :D

Hope you are well!

Some customers do get a free cpo disc once in a while from jpc. I am also quite sure that I got a few coupons but this was several years ago. The last I remember was a 15% or so off in summer or fall 2014.

jpc apparently also draws a EUR 50 coupon every months among people who have submitted reviews... (never got one of them but some people claim to have won one).

They crushed the stones in my left kidney, so yes I feel better, apart from being nauseous of the many pain killers I had. The stomach will take some time to recover from that.
Thank you all for the compassion, the thought of good wishes made me bite through the pain.

Only if you write them in German, the English ones they do not print.

Nor have I, despite being their loyal customer during about 15 years.

They have however sometimes (usually once a year) sent me a free bonus CD (CPO of course and not yet released at the time).

That is true, I get an yet unreleased full price CD every year for free, I forgot to mention that.

I really don't need another recording of Pelléas et Mélisande, but the prospect of hearing Bidú Sayão as Mélisande was too good to resist. And the sound (from what I've heard on YouTube) ain't that bad for a 1945 broadcast:

I think there are several thresholds:
- Infrequent costumers, don't bother.
- Very frequent customers get the free disc around Xmas or so (I never got that one, although there must have been years in the past when I did a lot of business with them, maybe there is a threshold at EUR 1000 or so)
- Frequent customer who refrained from buying: lure him back with a special coupon. This is the best for the customer but probably not so easy to achieve. You have to buy quite a lot (so they deem it worthwhile to lure you) but not too much and too often because than they do not need to especially entice you.

As for reviews in foreign languages; I think it is o.k. that they do not print them if they prefer so but they should say it explicitly somewhere so that people do not write up reviews in English or French and try to post them there.

Yeah, that's my assumption, too ... a friend who buys there less often keeps getting small (5€ I think?) coupons every once in a while. Me, I had one in 15 years, and that must have been 10 years ago. Guess that's part of what's wrong with today's capitalism.

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.
