I love this CD dearly (as my MusicWeb review made clear), but eughgh, the cover.

Usually BIS is so professional.

It looks like Frankenstein taking a break. ;D

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

That just made me laugh very loudly.

Thank you, BIS, for showing us what a sleeping violist looks like.

PS: The MusicWeb review is here.

Even the PAVANE at the top is slowly fading away....

Here's the photo sideways, as it would have appeared originally:

That reminds me of that old Monty Python skit:

Unnecessary. You can see them asleep at any orchestra concert.

Sadly, the other person lacked the upper body strength of the performer on the phone.

Well played!

I was going to ask, "Is there any other kind?" But you beat me to the punch.

I love the Banalités cover.

Ahhh, I was thinking he was calling for help to get him down. I like your explanation better.

No, I'm pretty certain he's calling a new cover designer!

I...kinda like this one.

I think there's a level of fun that can be on display with a cover. I believe this one is at that level. Plus, I don't always need to see the musicians looking deep in thought to convince me that they can play expressively well.

I'd like to see a chamber orchestra like Cafe Zimmermann remake the Last Supper, now.  ;D

Apart from the skull on the bow, I think it's fun.

And I just noticed the bird.

As far as fun covers go, I prefer that to this...

Did we already do these covers in the thread?  :-\

Haydn on acid? I do not quite picture Haydn in these undulating colors.
