The irony here is incredible, though of course this is you in disingenuous mode again.

2. Chastise you for missing the real point
3. Make insulting comment about real point

Do I detect a secret formula to take over the world?

Man, I gotta make my own. I used to have a plan to develop absolute zero (to destroy it), but i guess that's not the best idea. Oh well, off to the chalkboard.  8)

I hope you mean the temperature absolute zero, because developing absolute zero in general is far easier.

What? I thought it was impossible to develop absolute zero. Or maybe I'm not remembering this correctly. I did ask DavidW about this a few years ago.......

There, absolute zero. I hope y'all remember this after I am famous...

What happened this time?

I slept through the catastrophe.

Addition: I now discover Peter (pjme) has become a guest, too?!  :(

Peter had no quarrel with anyone, so I suspect he will return, and has just refreshed his page....... ;D

Quite a few rude ones were deleted/edited (along with other people who were sometimes just as rude), but there were also a lot of deleted posts that didn't have any attacks in, it was strange :-\

You may recall his surname is "Forever". As before he will return, some time, and the sooner the better.

Pierre

I'd sooner have Luke back. The value of M Forever's moderately fascinating posts were vastly outweighed IMHO by his sometimes sneering, often blustering, and all too often bully-boy inability to concede when either a) some idiotic prejudice of his had been challenged; or b) when his increasingly evident agenda that he was somehow 'top dog' was challenged by anyone who called his bluff with superior knowledge on a particular topic.

Agreed. I respect M's knowledge, but his brand of ad hominem nastiness isn't to my liking. And I have said so in public. You can make your point without undermining your case by taunts and insinuations. We are here to share our enthusiasm, not to gain any upper hand. If that makes me, in M's language, 'dishonest', 'passive aggressive' and a 'hypocrite', I can live with that.
