Ordered from Presto.  The Vivaldi was prompted by the realization that while I have loads of concertos and vocal/sacred music, I actually don't have much of his "chamber" music.  I have no recordings of Op. 1 or Op. 2 or the Manchester Sonatas, so this will help fix that.

These are two excellent (& complete) choices for Op. 1 and Op. 2:

Just bought:

I already own Colin Davis' Rose Lake performance, but, as usual, Colin Davis never made much of a believer out of me, but Hickox on the other hand...

Got a whole lot of stuff through Amazon Market place (First Time I bought more than 2 things from individual sellers, so I am nervous....Though, I've never had poor experiences with them)

Quite a load there, Paul. :D I'd be interested in hearing your opinion of the Tippett and Norgard once you've heard them. That's a great Tippett recording and the Norgard 3rd is my favorite work by him. Hope you seek out Tippett's Piano Concerto. This is work that continues to amaze me each time I hear it.

P.S. Did you buy the Chandos recordings from Classical Music Superstore per chance? If you did, you have no need to worry my friend. They are actually Naxos of America and they are my to-go-to seller for all things Naxos, Chandos, Ondine, Capriccio, Phoenix Edition, Warner Classics, and whatever other label they carry. :)

Thank you, and wish listed; however, from the Presto listings, it sounds as if those Glossa recordings are complete.  They are from an outfit named Ensemble Aurora.  Are you familiar with them?

There is, btw, an increasing likelihood I'm going to go ahead and order the Teldec Bach box.

Meanwhile, I went ahead and ordered these from Arkivmusic

CPE Bach Israel in the Wilderness

Rousset Bach Fantasy

Buxtehude Harpsichord Music

and a CPO disc of Italian oboe concertos by Bellini and others whose image URL seems to have gotten lost in the cyberether.

Only the Gliere and the 4th Symphony of Schnittke is CMS.  The Norgard is from a seller I've bought from a few times before, with good luck.  The rest....all have high approval rates.  So.........hopefully I won't be part of the minority's opinion when it comes........

I'm excited to hear Tippett.  Haven't heard a single note of his.  I'll be sure to listen to the piano Concerto when it arrives :)

Yes, I know them. Gatti and Co. are a totally first-rate ensemble, so there is nothing to fear.

Well, I bought that set "only" to get some sixty discs (over 153) and I consider it a superb deal.

A few, partly because Que was more alert as me, and I enhanced a little what he ordered.

One of the worst sets of VL's Bachianas Brasileiras you could buy IMHO. I would have went with Schermerhorn or Minczuk.

Arrived today: Dennis Russell Davies conducting Schnittke's Ninth; and Rozhdestvensky conducting the Schnittke piano concertos, Viktoria Postnikova and Irina Schnittke pianos. The ECM recording of the Ninth completes my Schnittke symphony cycle.

Hmm, that Dennis Russell Davies disc looks tempting, Sarge.

A couple of very cheap LPs:

Prokofiev Violin Concertos 1+2 / Stern, Ormandy LP
Only own a few versions of these works, and this one is probably a good one.

Borkovec: 1st String Quartet (1924) + Wolf: Italian Serenade + Rychlik: Partita f.String Quartet / Vlach Quartet /supraphon mono LP lpv 485

Bought this primarily for Borkovec, one of the early-20th century period composers I don´t have much of, in spite of his contacts with the Western avant-garde. Judging from even the first couple of minutes of the Wolf work, the Vlach Quartet were very good and interesting string players back then ( recording from circa 1955).
