Which do you prefer?  The Haydn 6 Op. 76 or Beethoven 6 Op.18 quartets?

Haydn Op.76
Beethoven Op.18
I like both equally
I don't like either

I apparently need to make my point more clearly:  I am tired of people complaining about polls, lists and rankings and I think it's rude to attack a thread on this basis.  If members want to share their opinion on such things, start a separate thread.  There's a difference between sharing one's opinion in a constructive manner and being unnecessarily disruptive.  But, that's just my opinion.  ;)

Well I actually did, but I put it in the diner since imo it involves more than music, and also it's not an issue with discussing music itself, but it's criticism.

The only String Quartets by Haydn I have (heard) is Op. 64. I never got that excited about them to explore more. Beethoven's String Quartets I adore.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

True, but you also were complaining about it being a "serious problem."  That's rubbish.

I've never really cared for Haydn. However, I do love Beethoven's Op. 18 quartets, most especially the C minor.

It was a serious problem with in the context of his argument.

Thank you.

It is nice to meet someone who considers Wagner a greater and more compelling composer than Beethoven.

:)

(I just wanted to chime in on that. Carry on with the original topic, folks)

Beethoven is a GIANT.

Wagner went beyond even him.

I vote Haydn because these Beethoven pieces have somehow escaped my ears (am a hard workin' man and don't have too much time to listen, shooot).

I can take heavy doses of Wagner at a time.  Although I usually only listen to one Act of a Wagner opera in a sitting, I listened to Siegfried in it's entirety non-stop the first time as I was so enthralled and spellbound.

That's still better than me.  I usually don't listen to opera unless I'm also watching it being performed.  ;)
