(Great piano player IMO. Listening to the Mendelssohn variations sérieuses now and he's made me listen. One of the best Steinway sounds on record that I recall - if only more Steinways sounded like this - it may be an old one.)

I have that SACD--he actually plays a Fazioli F-278 piano recorded in Fazioli's concert hall. Yes, he's a great player--I have numerous recordings by him. Although I can't afford a Fazioli, I have that same bench.

Not something you see everday, an album with both Faure works for piano and orchestra. It's got the orchestral version of the Ballade op.19, and then the Fantaisie op.111.

Does Heras-Casado have a permanent assignment to an orchestra?  It seems like everytime I see a new release with him he has switched orchestras again!

Former principal conductor of the Orchestra of St. Luke's (2011-17); I don't see that PHC currently holds any music director post anywhere.

His website says he is Principal Guest Conductor of the Teatro Real, Madrid. Everything else is termed collaboration, partnership, guest, etc.

In summer 2022, he commenced a new partnership with Anima Eterna Brugge touring and recording Bruckner's Symphonies on historical instruments.
