Naxos will also be releasing the collected piano music of Norman Lloyd and Peter Mennin. No word on if there has ever been a symphony with a more awkward title than the Weinberg.

I know Egorov mainly from retrospective EMI box, and I like his playing, esp. his Schumann.

Youri Egorov: A LIFE IN MUSIC (Etcetera, 10cd+dvd)
ASIN: B00GUSYB42

31 March at Amazon UK, but already listed by Amazon US-MP.

You can click on the image at Amazons to see blow-up of back cover with contents.

I see this has Schubert D958/780...could it be this OOP gem that I have been wanting?  I didn't know there was a relationship between Channel and Etcetera.

Egorov is a pianist I admire and I have the EMI set. A quick check of that tells me that almost all of this new set is different to the EMI box. I recently found the Schubert CD you've pictured in a CD/Bookshop in NZ. I am sure that I will have to acquire this new box, especially as they all appear to be live performances.
Cheers

I don't see a 17th on Naxos.  I see a 6, 12 and 19.

There is a recording on Neos with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

I like Glossa's covers the best. Beautiful, elegant, filigreed but uncluttered. Suggestive of recordings where you hear each instrument, with air around the notes.

I am jumping the gun a bit, but it looks like Sony will be releasing a Pierre Boulez "Complete Collection" box (67cd); release date at Amazon UK is 13 October.  ASIN B00JAOK44O, no listing at Amazon US.  This might be an instance where I twitch towards acquisition even with a large (majority?) of duplications.

The size makes me think it will be an 'original album' scheme.

Sony retrospectives for James Galway (B00IGGAG7M, 71cd, 13 Oct) and Jorge Bolet (B00J57KHUC, 10cd, 8 Sept) as well.

The Bolet is the most interesting to me.  I went to check and see if I could find the box, and while I did not find the Sony box, I did the below Decca box which had previously escaped my attention.  I want to see what's in the Sony box, aside from the "lost" Liszt recital that was published a while ago.  I could be getting quite a bit of Bolet this year.

In that case you might be interested in the following interview (from 1985) with Jorge Bolet, where he discusses his career and some of his favourite music:

All have a US release date of April 29th. I'm listening to the Ives right now, it's a live performance so I'm guessing they all are, sounds good so far, heavy on the brass  8)...

Brilliant will soon reissue a 4cd of Sergei Leiferkus' Mussorgsky songs (w/pianist Semyon Skigin), AFAIK the series originally released by Conifer.  (These are also included in the MUSSORGSKY EDITION box from Brilliant.)

May 2014, no listing yet at Amazon US.  ASIN: B00J3FI028
I have an OOP 2cd distillation reissued by RCA/Sony, and I find Leiferkus' voice compelling in this music, however few recordings I've heard.

Also another Brilliant issue of Peter Schreier's Schumann songs (w/Norman Shetler).

also some music I don't know at all...
