Had a look at Outhere Music Group's brochure for the autumn, to be accessed here:

http://www.outhere-music.com/fr/albums/a-venir

Some things that might be of interest:

Brian

Great! :)  Especially the Van Immerseel items look appealing. :D

Hmmm...a PI performance of Janacek's Sinfonietta. That should be interesting.

I'd had this pre-ordered and my copy was shipped yesterday. The order of the works is: Liszt, Scriabin, Medtner, with the Rachmaninov as an encore. The Medtner op.47 is a very substantial work and one of his finest compositions. If the performances of Prommachart I've sampled on youtube are representative of his artistry on this disc (he appears to have a welcome penchant for colour and dynamics and - in a non-ideal-sounding video of op.47 -  seems to be particularly attuned to Medtner's polyrhythmic idiom), this is going to be a recommended release. I'll report back upon listening.

Early (pre disciplining by the Party) Mosolov! I've got to get that, even though I've got most of it elsewhere. Schleiermacher is pretty flawless in that repertoire.

Oooooooooohh.

Yep.  The only one of the five I'm really interested in.  Had to get the image off her Facebook page.  The Pleyel/Vanhal is a maybe.  I posted the others to show some of the various goodies that Sony Germany puts out.

Oh, and Scheps looks better than she plays.

Harmonia Mundi is releasing two Grieg concerto CDs in one season! First came Javier Perianes, paired with Lyric Pieces;  now this:

Vadym Kholodenko was the latest Van Cliburn winner. Looks like the Saint-Saens is No. 2, unfortunately (I think it's over-recorded compared to 3 and 5...).

This looks interesting:

Orchestral Music

[1] Festival Overture in C, Op. 15
[2-5] Symphony in A major
[6] Schubert orch. Damrosch Marche Militaire, D733, No. 1
TT 63:36

Azusa Pacific University Symphony Orchestra / Christopher Russell

The Prussian-born conductor-composer Leopold Damrosch (1832–85) built his reputation through the orchestra he founded in Breslau. In 1871 he emigrated to the USA, where he founded a number of important musical institutions in New York and became chief conductor at the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic.

At the heart of his only symphony, which sits between Brahms and Wagner, is a dark and powerful funeral march. The disc opens with a jubilant overture which takes an excited lead from Wagner's Meistersingers and closes with a bonne bouche in the form of Damrosch's orchestration of a Schubert favourite.

Conductor Christopher Russell...has conducted the US premieres of three British symphonies: Havergal Brian's 27th and 32nd and Robert Simpson's Seventh, as well as the first complete performance of any of Rued Langgaard's sixteen symphonies in the United States. [okay, which one of you is Christopher Russell?!??!??!]
