Just bought:

I saw Jeffrey and Dave (SonicMan) talk about this set on another thread and I realized that I don't own any of Debussy's solo piano music. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I listened to a few shorter works from Ogawa's set on BIS and really thought it was well-done. In saying this, Dave also mentioned the Bavouzet set on Chandos and while I'm fan of this pianist's concerto recordings, I thought Ogawa's darkly hued performances sounded more to my liking.

If you don't mind the Pomp & Circumstance Marches as a coupling, then I would get that recording. I personally bought that recording for the Enigma Variations plus I bought it for $2, so not bad at all.

This is definitely more appealing.  I am the type of guy who does not like recordings with works from more than one composer ...

An eclectic mix... but what else can you expect after you reach a certain number of discs including multiple recordings of many of the standard works of the core repertoire?

Oh, no, why did you have to tell me that?

(BTW, your image isn't showing for me.)Never mind, now it is.....that's a CD I've often considered and never gotten.

It actually wasn't showing up for me either, and I posted it. Weird. Fixed it.

Nice haul. That Leinsdorf/Prokofiev set is a gem, finally getting the notoriety it deserves.

Good to hear, Karl !

Bit baffled on this one as Amazon Spain shows it in stock and yet their email indicates that the estimated delivery date will be advised separately (not the case for the atterberg ordered at the same time). ???

It's in a separate warehouse is all.

Well, sure you guys have a better economy than the U.S., most of our industry is located in China. ;) I can't tell you how many products I see where I'll look on the back of the packaging or whatever and it will read "Made in China." :)
