JPC.DE sent me an email today. The message was nice! They have permanently reduced shipping costs to Finland from 8 to 6 euros!
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Same here, shipping costs to Greece went down 4 euros, being now at 5,99 euros. A solemn and celebratory e-mail from jpc.de communicated this uplifting piece of information.

Harry

I wasn't aware of shipping cost, guess in the bulk of it, I did not notice that anymore huh! ;D

Siedler

Still way too much, they should be free...

Nice to see you again old boy. I hope all is well :)

Free shipping would be wonderful but I understand they need to charge something. 8 euros was too high.

Everything is well, even jpc.de lowers its shipping costs (notwithstanding the fact that I can't be bothered to make proper purchases at the moment:-)!

Seems we all received the same email.

It saves me a whole Euro! Wow!

They should offer free posting for orders over, say, 75 euros.

Within Germany postage is free with any purchase over 50 Euro. About a year ago they stopped charging me postage period. Even a single super budget CD is sent with no postage charge. Preferred customers (meaning those of us who spend most of our wages at JPC) get this special treatment? I don't know. I wasn't sent a message; they just dropped the postage one day. They also send a free CD at Christmas  :)

I was wondering if you'd had a hand in that, my friend  ;D

It's irrelevant for me, as I'd prefer not to pay extortionate Canadian customs and handling charges. :p

I can sympathize, and empathize: it's a crap shoot in Germany. Sometimes packages get through, ignored or unseen by the Zollamt, but when you're caught, the charges are outrageous.

Still €12.99 to the USA, which is to my mind extortionate.  That's why I'd rather order from HMV UK or HMV Japan (yes cheaper to ship from Japan!) unless it's a huge order.  I keep a cart running, but if I can find the items elsewhere for the same or less, it doesn't make sense to order from them.  Amazon DE also charges a small fortune to ship to the USA.

Much of the blame rests with the Deutsche Post. A single CD in a small envelope costs me 8 Euro (10 bucks!) to send to the States. The same envelope sent in the opposite direction via the US Postal Service costs $3.50. The Post really screws everyone.
