I was just doing a little shopping this AM.

Now, I like Haydn more than most, and am usually willing to pay a good price because decent recordings that I would like to have are thin on the ground, and no one is giving them away. That's fine. But how about this?. Can we go back to talking about fair prices?   ::)

Yes, sure it is, but the total carat weight is only, like 2.5. And I'd be surprised if there was a total of 1oz of gold in it... ::)

... this AM.

Me, Gurn?  ;D

Until four or five months ago the price of this set was EUR 70 or EUR 80 on JPC, but currently it's not offered.  :-\

Yes, I was calling you, AM. :D

I know, I saw it maybe 4 months ago going for less than $100 US.
Quotebut currently it's not offered.

This discussion reminds me of a story a friend tells of a storeowner who was asked by a customer how much were a pair of jeans.

This was a long time ago, and he said, "$3.49"

Customer: "Down the street they're $1.75"

Owner: "So why don't buy them there?"

Customer: "He doesn't have my size."

Owner: "Well, when we're out of your size they are $1.75 too."

Yes, but I don't know if you actually looked at the prices that I posted. Your $1.75 jeans were $11,000+ there, because they had them...   ::)   :)

Yes, I looked - I thought the $179.98 was very high, not to mention the $11,774.98 ones - which I assumed were typos.

Still funny.

400,- Euro's on JPC de

Edit: The question has already been answered :) Anyway I consider the price of this box a bargain, considering the original price.

Must be 40.- EURO´s. BTW JPC does not seem to list it anymore, or at least I can not find it.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

No, the set is being sold on behalf of a bank that needs to raise money to repay TARP . . . .
