You have 3 votes. If you favourite genre is not listed, just let me know and I'll add it.

I voted Symphonic, Chamber Music and Solo instrument (piano) in no particular order.

The first three, my friend, so vocal is not well represented with me.
But there it is!

I like a little bit of everything but I tend to be pulled towards symphonies, concertos, and string quartets the most.  Usually in the Classical/Romantic eras.  Mozart operas are really high on my list too.

Cheers for the first poll on our new GMG! :D :D

I think you should separate concerto from the other symphonic genres...? At least that's how I feel.

I've modified it according to Maciek's suggestion. Please vote again. :)

Symphonien

#5
I voted Symphonic, Concerto and Solo. My favourite is symphonic and concerto but it was very difficult to pick between chamber and solo. Maybe because I haven't heard too much chamber music yet and I'm biased towards piano music.

Personally, I've never really gotten into vocal music except for the vocal parts in Mahler symphonies and Requiems (I have so far only heard the Faure and Durufle but I do not listen to them very often).

I get the feeling that something has gone wrong with the poll results. It is showing only two people as voting. It did not hold one of my vocal votes....never mind.

I wasted time: and time wasted me.

Second time, again the first three!  :)

Maciek

Today ( ;)) I voted for Concertos for soloist and orchestra, Vocal (Oratorio, Cantata), Vocal (Opera). Somehow I like it when the ensemble is juxtaposed with a soloist.

Me too, but I regret not having allowed 4 votes, because I really love solo piano music. :)

Easily symphonic, concerti and oratorio/cantata in that order, but I like all genres very much (even if I'm not too much into lieders).

Organ, harpsichord, piano (preferably fortepiano) in that order.

Solo would also be my first choice, and Florestan's order applies to me as well.

Piano concerto . . . . . .
I'm very happy with my recent purchase of Brahms PC2 Arrau/Concertgebouw/Haitink,
but I voted Symphonic & chamber

I went for chamber, although solo piano is up there too this days, maybe because i'm learning to play it.
It used to be symphonies...i'm getting shy i guess ;D
