Richard Strauss's house

Many years ago, sometime in the 1980s, I had a few LPs released by Eterna, East Germany, with recordings of Richard Strauss conducting his own works. I remember almost nothing except the fact itself. As far as I recall, the sound was quite decent, considering when the recordings were made.

My obsession with Strauss continues, so far, historical recordings are my fascination. On Apple Music I found many recordings of Strauss conducting and those are revelatory and the mono sound quality brings out more detail sometimes (I am deaf in one ear). Also Charles Munch's Strauss is amazing.

Willem Mengelberg was a great Straussian.
