You don't need to invade. Democracy in Europe has been quite adroitly trashed in two brief weeks. In Greece and Italy we have brand new governments. Were these brought in by successful protests by the population? No. Are they elected? No. They were brought about by pressure from Germany and France who basically called the shots in order to reduce pressure in the Euro zone.

It might be that there is scant history of democracies going to war with one another, but as I say: you don't need to.

BTW, neat name the new Greek Premier has; seems he was born to the job.

Well, if they do, then over here in Europe we will all suffer. Either that or Germany and France will have him replaced.
