Fox foxed up at the end of last night's game. While Tim McCarver kept kept asking why Mike Napoli would be holding the runner on first and the camera focused on the crowd instead of the field, Uehara picked Wong off to end the game. Maybe Napoli knew what he was doing after all.   :)

I don't like St. Louis, especially David Freese for ruining my Rangers WS hopes a few years back. So go BoSox!! But the Cards may pull the same stunt against the Sox as they did with the Rangers.
Plus, I enjoy seeing teams win at home, slightly anticlimactic when the visitor wins, I think 'where'd the crowd go?'

Game 6 at Fenway Park tonight.

Front row seats now selling for $24,000.00

Standing room tickets @ $800.00.

(I skipped school at the age of 13 and took the subway downtown to see the Red Sox on opening day, the year after they lost to the Cardinals in the 1967 World Series in 7 games. I bought a standing room ticket for $1.50 and stood with a bunch of grumpy old men behind home plate on a cold and rainy day to see Ray Culp get lit up in his Boston debut. No more standing room for me.)

I had a couple of guests from Chicago over to the house this past weekend.  Rabid Chicago Cubs fans, they told me that the St. Louis Cardinals were the most hated team in America.  Upon further questioning, turns out that they simply were referring to how hated the Cardinals were among Cubs fans.

I have much admiration for the Cardinals - a first class outfit all the way.  Still, I hope they get demolished tonight.

I agree. Great young pitching staff. Gutsy first baseman (Allen Craig) playing hurt. Classy veteran Carlos Beltran. Good baseball fans. I'm not too impressed with manager Mike Matheny, though.

I do think (and hope) the Red Sox will get their offense going tonight and score a bunch of runs against Wacha. There have been suggestions on sports radio today that the Boston hitters may have him figured out the second time around.

Yep, 4-0 Sox, bottom of the 4th, I'd say they'd figured him out. Good call.

Looks like the Red Sox are the 2013 World Series champions!!!! :D Cardinals have just played horrible tonight. They just weren't any match for those Red Sox hitters like Ortiz and Gomes.

Like I said, Red Sox has the hitters. Cardinals, as much as I would have liked them to win, lost the World Series. They came a long way, but they will be going home the losers tonight. There's always next season.

Ordinarily you would have my sympathy.  But alas.....

And a sign Fox just showed in the stands while the Red Sox players continuing to man hug themselves into a heap---

PARTY LIKE IT'S 1918!

Well, basically, The Beards won.
