Dodgers blew out the Braves today. My team has been hot for months! Wonder if I can get a ticket in LA?

Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Yeah, the Braves blew that game! Aghh...I couldn't even watch it after Dodgers scored all those runs.

Don't you miss the Braves with Murphy, Horner, Glavine, Smoltz, Skipper, Hubbard? Even Rick Mahler. Even as I Dodgers fan, I love that Braves team.

This Red Sox season was a gift. They went from last place last year to first place in the AL East this season, thanks to the big trade they made with the Dodgers -- a move that clearly helped both teams.

I've been a huge Red Sox fan for nearly 50 years, and this year's team is one of my favorites. They play hard and never give up. Looking for them to sweep the Rays tonight -- up 2-0 and sending arguably their best pitcher to the mound in Clay Bucholtz.

Dodgers starting Kershaw tonight on three days rest. Smart move? Well, it might look that way if they clinch tonight, but I don't think it is even if they do. He threw 125 pitches three days ago. If they are even considering playing him tonight, why did they not use the pen earlier that night, maybe putting him on a pitch count of 100 to 110, at which time Dodgers had the big enough lead. Besides, if they win tonight without him, he'd start game one of the next series.

Yes, well this Braves team now is still new. Give them more time. I think they're going to do good things in the upcoming seasons.

Even all those years, I never liked the pronunciation of the name as Rick "May-ler" as opposed to Mahler that we classical music fans pronounce. I even remember at the Grammy they announced the winner for a classical music award "and it goes to MAY-LER Symphony #7, Chicago Symphony conducted by George Soul-Ti".

I still miss my Montreal Expos.  Even before I was a hockey fan at a wee age, I became a Montreal Expos fan first.  I still remember my father buying me a shirt, and Expos hard hat.  :)

In their final years, they were a great "farm team".  Developing great, young talent, only to be traded away for a bag of balls and a few bats because they couldn't afford to keep them.  :D

Liked the Expos. But I probably remember the earlier team than you, I mean the team with Rogers (Rick Monday's homer was against him but a great pitcher), Warren Cromartie, Andre Dawson, Tim Wallach...

Oh no, I do remember them Paul.  Those were my initial heroes.  And don't forget Tim Raines!

How can I forget that speed that used to torture National League catchers and pitchers!

Would be crazy to see a Dodgers/Sox World Series after that trade.

Well, the Rays stayed alive. Let's see if the Braves can do the same. Hard to pull of though, with Kershaw already staked to a two run lead thanks two Crawford homers.

Bummer. Would have loved the Pirates to go all the way. Now I have to root for Detroit or Oakland to win. Blech. :(

Not a bummer for me. :) Glad to see the Pirates pack it up and move it out! St. Louis vs. LA next. Going to be some good baseball!

Thank goodness for the Cardinals. No Yankees imitators in the World Series, please. Now all they have to do is dispatch whatever sorry AL team makes it in.
