My vote goes to Wagner.

There is no cop-out banana option.

Leon

Verdi gets my vote, as he would over all composers of opera with the exception, possibly, of Mozart.

:)

Lisztianwagner

 :)
I voted for Wagner, it was beyond doubt.

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

OK, so I'm not really sure if that is even remotely decent German...

I'm Italian, but I voted for Wagner; I don't like Verdi's music, apart from the Requiem.

I like both, but acknowlegde there are serious flaws in both their works.
Verdi can be superficial, Wagner can be pretentious and overtly long >:(

I voted for Verdi because it easier for me to get emotionally involved in the music of humans of flesh and blood like Aida, Elisabetta de Valois and Otello than to relate to the dwarfs, swanriders and Walhalla-gods in Wagners world   ;)
The first half of life is spent in longing for the second, the second half in regretting the first.

I prefer Verdi.  Both are great of course.

There are flaws in this poll, so it all works out fine.

Concerning dwarfs, they always get a bad rap.  However, I think they're great for story-telling and funny jokes. 8)

Where's Karl?  Although I don't have a banana to offer him, I'm sure he has a supply of them at hand.

He would simply pound (the top of) the table which only proves that he's no dwarf.
