That's correct. Just in time for the very end of his centenary year. (Very late to the party, I know.) Prior to this, I only had the Tortelier recording of the symphonies.

Cool, I hope you enjoy the set.

Let me know what you think of this performance, Karl. I have the Wergo recording which is quite good.

A whole lot of Dutilleux! 7 discs including most of his compositions, orchestral, vocal, piano and chamber works.

The last disc, with chamber music, was a fine discovery for me.

Perhaps the last order of the year:

Conjuratio is what I really want, but that single disc is expensive. Just £1.69 more and I got 2 dics of Bach & Handel as a bonus.  :)

Ricercar Consort/Philippe Pierlot is my new obsession. I suddenly realised how much I enjoy their style. Their disc "De Profundis" on Mirare is one of my favorites, absolutely wonderful, so "correct" in my opinion. I hate it when early/middle baroque is played as if it was renaissance music. Ricercar Consort has got the right balance of edge and softness. I sampled the Conjuratio disc on Spotify. Oh my god, I wonder if Weckmann can be performed better? So heavenly!  0:)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

2 recordings of Liszt années de pélerinage following the discussion in the "listen to" thread

The recordings tend to be hard to find

On qobuz, I got
Mûza Rubackyté (she is a franco-lithuanian pianist, some call her Miss Liszt)

Got this one recently as well! Look for her Shostakovich Preludes on Brilliant if you don't have it yet!

Other recent arrivals:

Also some of those Ligia discs from JPC (DHL delivered the parcel "successfully" back to JPC first time 'round, so they took longer than usual): the Vernet "French Classical Organ Music 1560-1800" set, as well as his CPE Bach set, one of Aymes' Frescobaldi sets, "Fantasie (1608) / Recercari & Canzoni Franzese (1615) / Fiori Musicali (1635)", the Debussy mélodies box, and "Concerto delle donne" with Johanette Zomer, a singer I really appreciate.

Bought in store, locally (store closing after x-mas sales ... damn, the Carnegie Box was probably the last time I cashed in my receipts to get the regular customer 10% bonus):

[asin]B0184JZ62K[/asin]
[asin]B01IAC0OKK[/asin]

as well as the new Trifonov again, which I'll pass on as an x-mas gift

Great haul, King Ubu! Blomstedt's SFSO Nielsen cycle is top-notch. Let me know what you think of the Kalabis and Kabelac sets. That Martinu Faust recording is also excellent.

Will take me ages to get to all of that, as usual - still buying fast ... haven't even started on Nielsen's symphonies at all (same for Kabelac, just thought after reading here - I guess you're the main one to blame  ;) - I'd give it a try when Presto's ran their Supraphon sales recently). Btw, plan to catch Blomsted doing Beethoven 7 & 8 in Zurich sometime in spring. Would of course enjoy some more exotic repertoire, but then 7 & 8 are both favourites in my house.

Well, I don't know much about Kabalec and Kalabis, so this is why I'm hoping you'd recommend some works to me. When it comes to Nielsen, I'd be happy to accept the blame there. ;) He's an absolute favorite of mine. I need to go on Presto and see what kinds of sales they have going on now that you mention it. :) Beethoven is a favorite of mine, too, so all I can do is nod my head in agreement there.

The new erato

The BMOP series is now avaialable outside amazon.com (which make P&P to Europe slightly expensive). At least, distribution has previously seemed slighty haphazard, these I ordered off mdt:
