JPC always delivers for the price they advertize, even if it is in backorder, so don't worry.
And they always take some time to ship.

And yes, I really did buy the Stockhausen.
That's actually a pretty good album. Some rather Cageian stuff in there... ;)

Woah, really? Why? I thought you hated him.
Some of it I do. I want to try some more. This is actually my third lifetime purchase of a Stockhausen album...

So we now see that Brian is drunk and not confused, and Ken is confused and not drunk.  I am neither, although I am finishing the last of a nice 8 year old from Haiti...Rhum Barbancourt Special Reserve.

Now that I am both sober AND not confused, I just want to point out that "a nice 8 year old from Haiti" could be interpreted incorrectly.

I noticed the same thing earlier, but Barbancourt Special Reserve is not a very common name in Haiti, as far as I know.

And they always take some time to ship.

My past experience with them has been exceptional! Shipment usually happened within a 5 day period. But then again I have never ordered anything from them that was a "backorder" item so I hope this doesn't take too long.

Anyway, I am patient man, and "everything comes to those who wait"  ;)

Just bein' crazy ???

One I had to get as soon as it is out...

One I needed since I started plunging into Mozart sonatas...

One that was on my wishlist for years...

I ordered all that in Japan for less than 120€ (group price on HMV is usually a fine deal if you know what to get), I guess I'm still reasonable in my foolishness...

Why isn't dear old Ingrid showing ?

The opportunity of a good deal  :D >:D

Now, just Seon and Bernstein/Sony, and of course Richter (I'll have to sell last year's italian set though :( )... And probably Ozawa... and I think I'll have all the megasets I want. Then I'll still have to get a few smaller sets I still don't have...

Oh, and to listen to all that too... Let's see, 500 CDs, 2 per day, eight months and...

Yes, the Richter from Decca Italy was great although one would never have suspected that another Richter megaset would follow so quickly. I suspect that Bernstein is going to get a lot of "listening" here at GMG considering the two Sony sets and the DG one. As you probably know DG is supposed to issue a second mega Bernstein set next year!  :P

Came across some images of the staging of the recent Met Parsifal and found it an opportune moment to follow my impulse. I think I am starting to suffer from DVDDVD or is it perhaps a form of BluBluRayRay?

Astounding imagery...
I should have listened to (watched rather) this on Halloween!

The two Richter sets are just a bad joke from Universal. I guess this is a sign of the lack of coordination between different Universal branches, but this is really annoying. Then, I would have bought the new set instantly if I didn't have the other one, here I'll wait and I suppose many Richter fans will... And hopefully that will force them to lower the price of the new set...

About Bernstein DG vol. 2, I know but I think I'll pass, I already have almost everything there will be in this second set (I'll buy the rest separately, it should still be cheaper). Also, I love my Mahler/Bernstein edition, the beautiful black and white one from ten years ago.
Whereas I had almost nothing from the first one !

Makes sense. I would have guessed that you had the Beethoven cycle. The first DG box definitely has a strong dosage of Bernstein's compositions!!!

I didn't own the Beethoven cycle. I had the Bernstein symphonies, and not much more than a couple other CDs... At the price it was on Amazon.it I had to get it.

Yes, a fantastic deal! My own box arrived in pieces (the outer box that is - it was mangled - maybe Ken sent out his minions looking for the Sony box >:D - but the real box was unharmed (amazingly)).  Bernstein's Columbia recordings have allowed me to appreciate Bernstein and also led to an exploration of his DG recordings.  Oh, so many things to listen to!!
