Ditto to what North Star wrote!  Very nice.  I hope you left some room in your luggage for some more music. . .   ;) :)

The Vaet~Cinquecento disc is outstanding and get a lot of regular play in my house.  That's one that I also ordered from BRO.   ;D

Last time I came from the States they happily overlooked the plus cd's in my suitcase.
A wonderful haul Que, you will have much pleasure out of this music.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

Thank you all vey much! :)  I am leaving on Thursday to visit my in laws in the DC area around Thanksgiving.

The Cinquecento discs are well deservedly pointed out. :) I am also in particular looking forward to the discs by  Ensemble Plus Utra under Micheal Noone. And theTelemann chamber music set on NCA might be a big hit, judging from the samples.

Dutch customs are a nightmare when ordering from abroad, with a 100% chance that they check and charge import duties. But when travelling they always leave me alone, I guess I look too harmless to bother .. :D

Is this HIP (PI)?

[re Olejniczak Chopin on Naïve]

I certainly assumed so, from memory, when I ordered.. But I might have confused this with other recordings he made for Naïve's sub label Opus 111, some of which where definitely on period instruments. But now I am not so sure anymore about this one... ::)

Perhaps another poster can help us out, or else I can tell you soon. :)

The Olejniczak selections pictured are not HIP. He is playing a modern instrument. There are two other discs with historical instruments on Naive/op.111 with him participating, one with a reenaction of Chopin's Warsaw farewell concert (incl. the complete f minor concerto) and another one (which I don't have) called "Chopin Soiree" or sth. like that with solo/chamber.
Olejniczak also took part in the big original pianos Chopin series on another label that came out for the anniversary in 2010.

I always read this thread from the bottom, and as I was seeing the haul, I thought to myself how many of these titles were familiar.  And when I got to tactus, I wondered if they might be available at berkshire. And then as I got to the top, I was not surprised by the orderer, but I was pleasantly 'surprised' that they were all at BRO!
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Ordering from them from Europe is for me practically impossible, due to their insane shipping costs, their odd packaging methods (do they still use old newspapers?), their shipping methods that take forever (months! ???) to reach these shores, and to top all that up: ruthless Dutch customs...

So ordering from them is basically a once-a-year treat....Probably a good thing...

I did exactly the same mistake some years ago. I don't know if you have other disks from the same Naïve collection (I mean the armchair-collection), but they don't provide any kind of information (no booklet, btw).

I guess you were thinking of these (as I did :)):
