The forum pressure was just too much. I caved (ordered it from Amazon DE). You're on your own, dude  ;)  I grabbed Sandor's Vol.2 also.

Thanks for the tip. I have been looking for this since long. Fortunately amazon.de had just one item left (for me). :)

There's always this for Prokofiev.  The sonatas are quite good, but I've not heard the concertos.  As much as I like Sandor, better is out there.  Prokofiev, more than many other composers, seems to be a one-off type thing; that is, this pianist does well in one or two works, that pianist in one or two works, etc.  That may just be me, though.

No no no no. Don't take away our reasons for buing all available boxes! I really think you are right and that by buying 10 complete sets I will be reasonably assured I have at least one good version of each work.

My admiration for Vladimir is much more restrained than my admiration for Artur.  So when Arkivmusic sent an email with some Sony boxset deals,  this was a reasonable decision:

But I couldn't let it go into the mail all alone and unchaperoned.

It's a while since I've listened, so forgive me for not offering any comment more substantial than I remember liking her performances a lot . . . .

Perhaps I should linger for the symphony edition....   I forgot that is was coming up relatively soon! Hmm, perhaps it will cost a mint?
