11. It is Messiaen, but the piece is Sept Haikai. From the 6th 'haiku'.

19. Nope. An American composer. Mid-to-late 20th century.

25. Nope. Based off of your interests in India, you might be interested to know that the title of the work is Sanskrit (which pretty much narrows it down to one piece ;D, especially when combined with my previous hint).
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

25. Turangalila (not Satyagraha, or Hymns from the Rigveda, or Padmavati- other Sanskritic titles, if I may...)

Sean

19. Feldman, eg Rothko Chapel? I know the music really well but it doesn't help at all :-[

Indeed Messiaen's Turangalila-Symphonie -- the 7th movement (Turangalila II). I had a feeling that you'd list a bunch of other candidates given the hint, though. :D

Close! It is from his breathtakingly-gorgeously-orchestrated Coptic Light.

Will try again next time; great host you are...

It's fun! I just wish more would play (i.e. attempt). :(

Yes! And 29 is closely related (in orchestration and even in motifs).
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Sean

Don't know if you could update what's left, and I'll try again tomorrow...

Sorry, no clear answers but recognize several, particularly 12

12 is I think a recession from a climactic outburst, early 20thc

13 is a Prokofievesque ending to a movement

14 is from a Straussian family waltz

15 is some kind of fake neoromanticism the likes of Macmillan writes

16 sounds like a Kyrie from an English Renaissance mass

21 not sure I know, not sure I want to know

24 Harry Partch?

29 is a bit like Messiaen's Transfiguration but it isn't, perhaps something English

(poco) Sforzando

14 is from a Straussian family waltz

But 14 is in a 7/8 meter, which would exclude a waltz, or likely Strauss (or for that matter Tchaikovsky, my first thought).

Well I did try to count 1,2,3 but it only sounded like it.

Hint: we briefly discussed 24 on another thread. Partch isn't a bad guess based off of this section (it does sound like a made-up instrument :D).

I am still very sad that no one got 29. :'(
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Probably answered before, but:
27 is Debussy, Sirenes
28 Ravel, Daphnis et Chloë
Yet 29 ....  ;)
... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948

Drasko

Could 21 be something by Paul Schonfield, I remember hearing in concert piece by him that had similar soundworld.

29 is awfully familiar, but just can't place it at the moment.
